TextClarify platform. We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the EU General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR).

What Personal Data We Collect
Contact Data: Email address and any details you choose to provide when using our services.
Submitted Content: Uploaded files (e.g., scans), text you paste (e.g., contracts, job descriptions, CVs) and related prompts/metadata needed to generate your results.
Payment Data: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers or security codes.
Technical Data: IP address, device/browser info, and basic usage logs for security, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
Purposes of Processing
Service Delivery: Generate and deliver your requested documents (e.g., clarifications, summaries, translations).
Payments & Invoicing: Process transactions and maintain purchase records.
Security & Abuse Prevention: Detect and prevent fraud, misuse, or technical issues.
Support & Communication: Respond to inquiries and send essential service messages.
Improvement: Aggregate, de-identified analytics to maintain and enhance the service.
Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)
Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing necessary to provide the service you requested.
Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and customer support (balanced against your rights).
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Where required (e.g., optional communications). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): Records required by tax/accounting or to comply with law.
Use of AI & Automated Processing
To deliver results, TextClarify uses artificial intelligence (AI) service providers to process the content you submit. This automated processing is
necessary to generate your output. AI outputs can contain errors or omissions; you are responsible for reviewing and adapting all generated content before use.
We do not perform human review by default unless you explicitly request support.
International Transfers
We are established in Norway, which is part of the EEA. Transfers of personal data within the EEA (including Norway) are not considered international transfers.
Where our service providers process data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the
EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms to protect your data.
How We Share Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:
Payment Processor (Stripe): For secure transactions.
Infrastructure & Hosting: To store and deliver files and operate the service.
AI Providers: To generate your requested outputs; we share only what is necessary for processing under appropriate data processing terms (including SCCs where applicable).
Legal/Authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. In line with our product
settings:
Free previews/generations: Deleted within 24 hours.
Paid generations & download links: Download links expire after 48 hours; underlying generated files are removed within the same period.
Billing/Order records: Kept for the legally required period (e.g., tax/accounting laws).
Support emails/logs: Retained for a reasonable time to resolve issues and prevent abuse.
Your GDPR Rights
You have the right to:
Access your personal data and obtain a copy.
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erase data (“right to be forgotten”) where applicable.
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Data portability for information you provided to us.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Norway, this is the
Datatilsynet.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular backups.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously work to protect your data.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
